Rimowa opens new Flagship Store on Madison Avenue in New York

LVMH owned German luxury luggage and travel accessories brand Rimowa has unveiled its new flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York City.

Located at 535 Madison Avenue, adjacent to Christie's Sculpture Garden, the store is Rimowa's largest in North America with a total size of approximately 2,300 square feet across two levels.

Designed by Brooklyn-based design firm Porto Architecture (winners of a design competition held by Rimowa in 2023-2024), the store is housed in a non-descript modernist building featuring innovative elements like slender porcelain tiles, extruded aluminum dividers, and dynamic display setups to reflect the brand's heritage and showcase it's products. Together, these features blend functionality, innovation, and style to offer an immersive experience for visitors.


To commemorate the opening of the new flagship, Rimowa has unveiled a special limited-edition suitcase called the Original Cabin Monogram New-York-City Exclusive that serves as both a functional travel piece and a statement of style. Made in Cologne, Germany from high-end anodized aluminum, the suitcase features 'New-York-City exclusive' inscribed on the interior label, along with the coordinates of the Madison Avenue store. It is available only at the new Madison Avenue flagship store.
