Ralph Lauren appoints Angela Ahrendts as New Lead Independent Director

American luxury lifestyle brand Ralph Lauren has announced the appointment of Angela Ahrendts as its New Lead Independent Director.

She succeeds Hubert Joly, who, is stepping down after 16 years of service, and will not seek reelection to the Company's Board of Directors. Her appointment is part of Ralph Lauren's broader strategy to strengthen its corporate governance and accelerate brand repositioning and marks a significant transition in the company's boardroom leadership as it continues to solidify its position in the global luxury market.

Ahrendts brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served on Ralph Lauren's board since August 2018 and currently chairs the Finance Committee and is a member of the Nominating, Governance, and Sustainability Committee. Her past experiences as CEO of Burberry Group from 2006 to 2014 and Senior Vice President of Retail and Online Stores at Apple Inc. from 2014 to 2019, positions her to guide Ralph Lauren in navigating the evolving luxury market.

Ahrendts will assume the role after her re-election as a director at the Ralph Lauren Corporation 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, taking place on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
