Kering and Marie Claire host Fashion Our Future event in Shanghai

French luxury goods conglomerate Kering and international women's fashion and lifestyle magazine Marie Claire hosted the third edition of their Fashion Our Future event in Shanghai.

Held on July 18, 2025, at the Shanghai Navy Club, on No. 1262 Yan'an West Road, Changning District, it marked the conclusion of a three-year global partnership between both organizations who previously brought together audiences in Paris and New York to explore the future of sustainable fashion.

The program featured dynamic panel discussions on:
- Sustainable education, emotional storytelling through fashion, and water-positive innovation, highlighting actionable solutions for a greener industry.
- Celebrity-led advocacy videos and a global social media campaign inviting individuals to share what sustainability means to them.
- An exhibition showcasing sustainable products from Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, Qeelin, and Kering Eyewear.


Centered around the themes of fashion and sustainability, the event brought together designers, scientists, artists, key opinion leaders, stakeholders and changemakers such as Kering's Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer, Marie-Claire Daveu, as well as Cai Jinqing, President of Kering Greater China, alongside Lyu Xiaolei, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Fashion Week Organizing Committee; Bonnie Chen, supermodel and sustainability advocate; Cecilia Yip, Chinese actress and singer; Chen Peng, designer and Olympic costume creator; and Yidi Chen, founder of the MATTTER Materials Innovation Platform.

Together, they shared their visions and experiences to reimagine the industry's future through the lens of sustainability. Highlighting the power of creativity, culture, and how fashion can serve as a catalyst for environmental progress and collaboration in shaping a more sustainable future.

With Kering championing sustainable innovation and Marie Claire amplifying this mission through its influential voice in women's media, the Shanghai edition of the Fashion Our Future flagship event built on the success of its predecessors in Paris (2022) and New York (2023). The initiative concluded a powerful journey of conversations and engagement, uniting voices across key regions of the world to shape a more sustainable future for fashion.
